Build a pond with Rooted and Pete the Pond plus Big Lunch picnic with entertainment

Thanks to generous funding from Blueheart, our allotment is taking a huge step toward boosting biodiversity!  Join us for a hands-on, educational day as we create our very own pond.

We’re thrilled to welcome legendary Pete the Pond and the fabulous Watercycle team, who will share their expertise and guide us in this exciting project.  This initiative was sparked by our dedicated Rooted volunteer growers, who are committed to giving back to nature and supporting the rich ecosystem that thrives at our plot.

Special guest Charlie Peverett, local bird guide, will be joining us to share fascinating insights about the birds that call our allotment home, and how they’ll benefit from our new pond!

Expect a day full of fun! We’ll be rolling up our sleeves to build, learn, and maybe even do some water testing. Plus, there will be activities for children, making it a great event for families.

Bring a picnic lunch and plenty of water if it’s a hot day!
