Climate Resilient Garden: A Holistic Approach
One aspect that has become increasingly clear is that climate-resilient gardening extends far beyond simply cultivating beds. It’s a holistic approach and encompasses a range of sustainable methods. With this in mind, we’ve adjusted our brief parameters, reflecting a more comprehensive perspective. We’re incorporating resilient techniques alongside our planting strategies. A key priority for the team is ensuring the ability to harvest seeds for future growing seasons – this reinforces self-sufficiency and adaptability. To support this goal, we’ve decided to source our seeds from realseeds – a company that is dedicated to empowering growers to save their own seeds. Their ethos aligns perfectly with our vision, and we’re genuinely excited…

Water Recycling
Two of our Rooted volunteers dedicated their weekend to support our CRG mission. Their hard work and resourcefulness have taken our kitchen’s sustainability to the next water recycling level. Here’s what they achieved: Connected our kitchen sink to a waste pipe that feeds into a water butt, making it ready to recycle grey water.Installed a large water butt to collect rainwater from the roof, making every drop count. The cherry on top? We lovingly installed a nifty push-on, push-off plug to our Belfast sink—our personal favorite! We’re beyond grateful for their time, energy, and commitment. Thank you so much for helping us take meaningful strides towards water recycling,…
